A.
Target people:

Non-residents who have lost the entry document and do not accept other certificate for divergence

B.

Requirement: Non in a lawfully restricted condition
[Annotation: Departure of persons who have lost their certificate and overstay will be arranged past the Investigation Subdivision of the Immigration Section.]

1. Simply a case of loss of entry document
(1) Hong Kong residents

Persons who lost their Hong Kong Permanent Identity Carte du jour / Re-entry Permit / Hong Kong Document of Identity for Visa Purposes / Hong Kong SAR Passport / Hong Kong SAR Travel Allow or other Hong Kong travel document may become directly to the Border Command Subdivision at the Hong Kong – Macao Ferry Terminal or the Taipa Ferry Terminal for report of loss of the document and departure clearance at the aforementioned fourth dimension if they possess a valid ferry ticket which allows them to leave Macao within 3 hours. Otherwise, they will take to approach our Immigration Department Office Building to report the loss and apply for a 'Declaration of Loss of Document'.

(2) Others

A case of loss of document involving criminal act (e.g. theft, robbery, etc) or there is a loss of other documents and properties

(1) Hong Kong residents

They are required to report the loss in person at a police force department and to receive a 'Report Testimonial' or 'Complaint Notification'. Then, they may go to the Edge Command Subdivision at the Hong Kong – Macao Ferry Terminal or the Taipa Ferry Terminal for departure clearance if they possess a valid ferry ticket which allows them to leave Macao within 3 hours. Otherwise, they volition have to approach our Clearing Department Function Building to apply for a 'Announcement of Loss of Certificate'.

(2) Others

They are required to report the loss in person at a police section and to receive a 'Report Testimonial' or 'Complaint Notification'. Then, they should use to our Immigration Department Office Building for a 'divergence document'.

If the "return document" is issued before the decease of "departure document", the person should leave Macao earlier the two documents expire (subject to whichever document expires kickoff). Otherwise, the person is required to extend the validity of the "difference document" at the respective unit of measurement until he/she is granted the "return document" and leaves Macao.

[Note: Persons who leave Macao or extend the validity of the "departure certificate" after it expires are considered to be overstayers.]

c.

Both the "divergence document" and the "render certificate" should be presented upon difference.

C.

Application for "render certificate" at Hong Kong or Mainland Red china

a.

The person should get out Macao earlier the "deviation certificate" expires (more often than not within seven days) and go to the consulate/embassy or diplomatic mission in Hong Kong or People's republic of china to apply for a "return certificate". Otherwise, the person will be considered to be an overstayer;

b.

Before going to Hong Kong or Mainland Prc, the person should contact the relevant consulate/ embassy and confirm the appointed appointment of application. Otherwise, the person will be subject area to entry refusal;

[Note: If the appointed engagement of awarding is beyond the expiry of the "divergence document", the person is required to extend the validity of the Certificate at the respective unit.]

c.

If the person obtains the "render certificate" on the date of application and returns to Macao to take a flying, he/she is required to present the "return certificate" as well as the original "difference document" upon inflow at Macao. The authorities will grant him/her "Authority to Stay" for a reasonable period of time based on the validity of the "return document" and then that he/she can make arrangements for difference. However, if the person needs to collect the "return document" after he/she re-enters Macao, he/she is required to extend the validity of the original "departure certificate" with the relevant application receipt at the respective unit.

2. Penalization for overstay
1)

Co-ordinate to Administrative Regulation No. 14/2014 'Amendments to the Provision on Overstay in the 《Regulations of the Entry, Stay and Residence Authorization》', persons who still stay in the Macao SAR but not over xxx days after the death of the potency granted is fined MOP500 per overdue twenty-four hour period from 9/7/2014. The violators are required to pay the fine immediately afterwards they are arrested or report themselves to the law. The to a higher place mentioned penalty regulation is non applicable to those who have overstayed in Macao inside ane year.
